Will Beau is Afraid be on Netflix after theaters? (where to watch)

Beau is Afraid is the latest film from horror master Ari Aster, and it’s perhaps his most controversial, which is saying something since Hereditary and Midsommar were both polarizing movies in their own right. His newest movie is a three-hour surrealist black comedy film with horror elements, leaving people torn about whether they love it or hate it.
Critics have described it as a “three-hour-long panic attack in psychosomatic cinematic form,” and more, making it a must-see for cinema fans. Whether you enjoy it or not, a film that generates as much chatter as this one is worth watching at least once.
Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Patti LuPone, Nathan Lane, Amy Ryan, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and Parker Posey, Beau is Afraid is not a movie you’ll want to miss.
The only place you can watch the film right now is in theaters, and I recommend you pick one with reclining seats since you’ll be there for over three hours! Beau is Afraid released in select Los Angeles and New York theaters on April 14, but it will go wide on Friday, April 21.
Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that Ari Aster’s new movie will eventually come to Netflix because the streaming service doesn’t usually get the newer A24 films.
It’s hard to predict where Beau is Afraid will stream because A24 movies are available in different places. Some are on Prime Video, while others are on Max or Showtime. If you want to watch the film, you’ll need to see it in theaters or wait for it to become available to rent or buy. Hopefully, we’ll find out exactly where it will stream within the next few months.
